Competition Terms & Conditions
Takealot Shopping Spree

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to the Ideal Pet Food Takealot Voucher Competition (“Competition”), run and managed by Ideal Pet Food. By entering, participants confirm that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms in full. Anyone who does not agree should not enter or participate.

Please read carefully – these Terms set out the rules of entry, eligibility requirements, prize details, and important responsibilities relating to the Competition.

 

Competition Duration

  • The Competition runs from 1 October 2025 until 31 March 2026.
  • The winner will be selected via a random draw, validated, and announced by 6 April 2026.


Eligibility 

The Competition is open to:

  • South African citizens or permanent residents, aged 18 years or older.
  • Entrants with valid proof of identity (South African ID or passport) and residency.

 

The following individuals are not eligible to enter: 

  • Employees, directors, or contractors of Ideal Pet Food or their associated companies. 
  • Suppliers, distributors, advertising/marketing agencies, or any parties directly involved with this promotion. 
  • Immediate family members (including spouses, parents, children, and siblings) of the individuals listed above. 

 

How to Enter

  • Purchase any bag of Ideal Pet Food on Takealot.com between 1 October 2025 and 31 March 2026.
  • Each bag purchased counts as one (1) entry. If you buy multiple bags in a single order, each bag will still be counted as a separate entry. 
  • The winning entry will be verified using the order invoice linked to the purchase.


The Prize

  • One (1) winner will receive a R50 000 Takealot.com voucher. 
  • The prize is not exchangeable for cash, not transferable, and cannot be resold. 
  • Voucher terms and conditions (as per Takealot.com) will apply. 
  • The voucher must be used in accordance with Takealot.com’s terms and conditions and any stated expiry dates. 
  • Any taxes, duties, or additional costs associated with claiming or using the prize are the responsibility of the winner. 


Winner Selection & Notification

  • The winner will be chosen via an independent, audited random draw.
  • The Competition team will attempt to contact the winner for up to 3 business days after the draw. If the winner cannot be reached or does not respond, the prize will be forfeited and another winner will be selected.
  • The winner will be contacted via the contact details provided on the Takealot order/invoice.
  • The winner will be announced on Ideal Pet Food’s official communication channels, including social media and/or newsletters. 


Publicity Consent 

  • With the winner’s permission, Ideal Pet Food may request to use their name, image, or comments for publicity, marketing, and PR purposes. Participation in publicity is voluntary and not a condition of accepting the prize.


Liability Disclaimer 

  • Ideal Pet Food and Takealot.com are not responsible for any loss, damage, injury, or costs incurred from participation or the use of the prize.
  • Voucher usage remains subject to Takealot.com’s standard terms and conditions.
  • This competition is run and managed solely by Ideal Pet Food and is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Takealot.com. 


Fair Play & Technical Issues 

  • Any fraudulent activity, tampering, or false entries will result in disqualification.
  • Ideal Pet Food is not liable for technical issues, system errors, or failures that may prevent entries from being received.


Data Protection 

  • Personal information collected will be used solely for administering the competition and will be processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).


Changes or Final Decisions 

  • Ideal Pet Food reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the Competition if necessary.
  • All decisions by Ideal Pet Food regarding the Competition are final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
